Gerald I. Goldlist
welcomes you to the home of his debut novel
SAVING BUDDY HOLLY BLUE DAYS BLACK NIGHTS
Welcome to the official home of Gerald Goldlist’s debut novel, C, the story of a depressed scientist who becomes determined to travel back in time and warn Buddy Holly off the plane that crashed in 1959. His mission to change history becomes a journey of purpose, hope, and the enduring power of music.
While doing research for this novel, Gerry found himself drawn deeper into Buddy Holly’s world. What began as a novel soon became a personal passion C exploring Holly’s music, his legacy, and the remarkable community of fans who keep his spirit alive.
This website brings those two paths together. Here you’ll discover the novel inspired by a timeless musician, along with photos, stories, and reflections from Gerry’s own journey into Holly’s life and the people who celebrate it.
Whether you’re here for the book, the music, or the history, you’re invited to explore a tribute that honors both the artist and the community that remembers him.[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” button_style=”regular” button_color_2=”Accent-Color” icon_family=”fontawesome” text=”VIEW MORE ABOUT THE BOOK” url=”/about-the-book/” icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-caret-right”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”50″][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”2928″ image_size=”full” animation_type=”entrance” animation=”None” animation_movement_type=”transform_y” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default” el_class=”quet”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”130″][image_with_animation image_url=”2791″ image_size=”full” animation_type=”entrance” animation=”None” animation_movement_type=”transform_y” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_content” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” id=”author” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” gradient_type=”default” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”5/12″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”2834″ image_size=”full” animation_type=”entrance” animation=”None” animation_movement_type=”transform_y” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”7/12″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text text_direction=”default”]

WHY READ THIS BOOK
SAVING BUDDY HOLLY
BLUE DAYS BLACK NIGHTS
“Saving Buddy Holly – Blue Days Black Nights” doesn’t play by the rules. It blends the speculative curiosity of science fiction with the emotional depth of psychological drama, the nostalgia of musical history, and the philosophical exploration of existence. With humor woven through its darker themes, the novel resists easy classification. It invites readers into a story that quietly reflects on the nature of the universe, the possibility of multiple realities, the existence of God, and the profound question of whether history can be changed.

Charles is sometimes funny, sometimes depressed, and always consumed by the life and music of Buddy Holly. Charlie’s goal of saving Buddy Holly, who died decades earlier, creates a rich tapestry for the unfolding of Charlie’s own life, his relationships, and his struggle with depression. The history of Buddy Holly, and the occasional commentary about depression and other real life topics, creates a reading journey of laughter, tears, cringing and hope.
